In the past decade, Jordan has hosted over a million people displaced from Syria, with about half officially registered as refugees. While being one of the largest hosts, Jordan is also one of the world's most water-scarce countries and requires support to cope with both the water and displacement crises.

Limited access to livelihoods, combined with the pressures of climate change, makes it difficult for families, especially those headed by women, to achieve stability and independence. Targeted support is essential to help them rebuild their lives and secure a dignified future.

We have been operating in Jordan since 2018. In Jordan, we have supported female-headed households through economic recovery activities to achieve food security, adapt to climate change, and build self-reliance.
